Care for farm pigs and pet pigs
Whether raised on the farm or kept as a pet, pigs require specialized care to thrive. We offer preventative health services, diagnostics, and treatment for a variety of conditions to help ensure your pigs remain healthy and comfortable. Ambulatory farm calls let us see your pigs at home.

What pigs need
Pigs handle heat and drafts poorly. They cannot sweat, so shade and water matter in summer, and large swings between warm days and cool nights raise the risk of respiratory disease. Dry bedding and protection from drafts help. Pet pigs are also prone to weight gain, which strains joints and the heart, so diet and body condition are part of every visit.
Fall and winter preparation
As temperatures change, watch for coughing, reduced appetite, and pigs that huddle or seem dull. Early attention keeps small problems small. Our fall health checklist includes a short section on pigs.
